MaintainIQ is an asset maintenance and repair tracking platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the MaintainIQ service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MaintainIQ, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the service:

Account information — your name and email address when you create an account or sign in.
Data you submit — asset records, maintenance issues, technician details, and other data you enter while using the platform.
Local storage — we store your session and display preferences (such as light/dark theme) in your browser’s local storage.

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the MaintainIQ service;
Authenticate you and protect your account;
Record maintenance history and facilitate issue tracking;

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in managed PostgreSQL databases provided by Supabase and served through Vercel. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal information. Access to sensitive operations (such as admin functions) is restricted to authorized accounts.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage for functional purposes only — for example, remembering your theme preference and maintaining your signed-in session. We do not use advertising trackers.

5. Third-Party Services

MaintainIQ relies on the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
Vercel — web hosting and delivery.
Content delivery networks (jsDelivr, cdnjs) — serving open-source libraries such as the Supabase JavaScript client, Chart.js, and QR code utilities.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and the data associated with it at any time by contacting us at support@maintainiq.com.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can access and update your account information at any time through your account. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 8. Children’s Privacy

MaintainIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
